Design Validation Test (DVT)
A Design Validation Test (DVT) is a tool usually used by the designers of the board to validate the performance of the board to the specification. These tests are usually much more thorough than those in production testing. It tests the capability of the design to handle unexpected conditions, such as over and under voltage, signals out of range, current overloads and other stresses. Test outputs are often large sets of data, such as scope captures of events of interest, as opposed to simple Pass/Fail results.
Industry-Standard System Components
Our ATE solution delivers Design Validation Test Systems that are designed to be easy to use and maintain over their lifetime. Wherever possible, we use industry standard components and COTS parts.
Industry-Standard Software
Test software is an extremely important part of ATE. Choosing the right software tools is key to the long-term maintenance and operation of your test system. Our resource is a strong advocate for LabVIEW and TestStand from National Instruments. Those are the industry standards in test software development. Our ATE engineering solution is an expert in LabVIEW development, with multiple Certified Architects and Certified Developers on staff.
Using proven open-source frameworks, our resource creates software that can be developed quickly and maintained by your internal team. At the end of the project, you own all the source code. That ensures your control of your system and that you are not tied into any single provider for maintenance and upgrades throughout the lifecycle of your system.
Custom Interfacing Hardware
Many designs have specific requirements for interfacing to certain signals. In those situations, we design and build custom interfacing PCBAs.
